West Auckland Educational Services Co-operative - WAESC

MEMBERSHIP is open to all schools and Boards of Trustees in the Waitakere City area.

• To become a member it is necessary to be nominated and seconded by existing members. The application needs to be approved by a majority of the total membership, either at a General Meeting or by written approval of the nomination.
• The fee for services is set out below. Payment is deducted from member's bank accounts by electronic transfer, quarterly.
• The nominal annual membership fee of $100.00 plus GST, is payable on 1 October each year.
• Apart from the AGM, there are few meetings to attend as most day to day matters are dealt with by the manager and the appointed management committee.

CONTRACT TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE MEMBERS

• WAESC have a long standing contract with Leading Edge Services Ltd to provide the financial management services to their members.
• A management group (appointed at the annual general meeting) acts on behalf of the co-op members in working with Leading Edge on any matters to do with this contract and initiatives as agreed at the annual meeting.
• Leading Edge Services provide the co-op with premises, equipment and software to operate their organisation. All operating costs are met by Leading Edge. 96% of the fees collected from members are paid to Leading Edge for this service.
